THE OPPORTUNITY

It is an exciting and transformational time at our company; we are seeking an experienced CPA to join our growing Accounting and Finance team in a role focussed on the integration of newly acquired clinics. Reporting to the Director, Tax & Treasury, the successful candidate will work closely with our Mergers & Acquisitions team to provide seamless integration of new businesses to FYidoctors.

MAJOR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Liaise between M&A department and the Accounting and Finance department on all matters related to the integration of acquired clinics.
• Prepare Purchase Price Allocation (PPA) journal entries and reconcile various acquisition-related accounts.
• Review Purchase and Sale Agreements for accounting matters and issue identification.
• Set up, onboard, and train acquired clinics on FYidoctors systems
• Support onboarding of new clinics with vendor accounts and benefit providers
• Lead the audit process with our external auditors in relation to PPA's.
• Ensure internal control environment is adhered to, documented and continually assessed for its effectiveness. Recommend and implement improvements if necessary.
• Assist in pre and post-acquisition related reconciliations
• Manage tracking and payment of holdbacks related to acquisitions
• Followup with vendors on post-acquisition deliverables (ie. Final financial statements and tax returns)
• Assist in the completion of special projects and/or ad hoc projects throughout the business as required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Possession of a CPA designation is required.
• A minimum of four years of accounting experience is required.
• Experience in a manufacturing, health care, retail or service industry is considered an asset.
• Fluency in French is an asset.
• The candidate is a professional, technically proficient, independent thinker who builds positive relationships and likes to have fun!

• A hard worker who has excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines for themselves in an environment with a high volume of activity.
