Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Intern

We are seeking an undergraduate senior or graduate student in their final year who wants to get a head start in a finance and accounting career with a 4 month - Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Internship.

*Temporary part-time / full-time opportunity that will require reporting into our Torrance office periodically*

What You'll Do:
  • Analyze, interpret and communicate monthly financial results including deviation analysis, explanation of performance drivers / opportunities and key metric reporting.
  • Partner with operations team and FP&A to develop routine forecasts.
  • Assist team with accurate costing, analysis and month-end close.
  • Analyze changes in financial information / results.
  • Perform other duties, which include day-to-day and strategic activities.

What You'll Bring
  • Working toward a Bachelor's/Master's/MBA in Finance or Accounting.
  • Interest in a R&D and manufacturing environment within aerospace and defense, and for a Federal contractor.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems, DELTEK CostPoint is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DCAA, DCMA, and other agency regulations and reporting is a plus.
  • Desire to convert to full-time opportunity upon graduation.
  • Highly effective communicator and team player.
