Job Description

IBI Group's Head Office in Toronto is currently seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Corporate Finance team. Reporting to the Head of Corporate Accounting, you will work collaboratively to support the Company's business strategies as it relates to financial accounting, controls and reporting. Most of the things you'll work on:
  • Prepare financial statements and reporting packages under IFRS16.
  • Full cycle accounting, financial statement reporting and process documentation preparation
  • Assist with month-end closings including account analyses and reconciliations
  • Perform & present detailed variance analysis
  • Provide cross functional assistance to other teams to support new and ongoing business initiatives
  • Examines financial statements and documents for conformance with accounting requirements and principles
  • Monitoring of schedules, deadlines and internal budgets, as well as coaching and mentoring junior staff.


You'll need to have:
  • 3 -5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Public accounting experience and/or CPA designation is required
  • Knowledge of tax and IFRS 16 is preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Attention to detail with an analytical mindset
  • Ability to work independently
  • Problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
