We are currently searching for a Junior Internal Auditor for The Beer Store (TBS). This is an 18-month contract position based at our Corporate Office in Mississauga and reports directly to the Manager of Internal Audit.

Key Accountabilities:
  • Perform operational and financial audits (retail store, warehouse, corporate audits) to mitigate organizational risk and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Evaluate processes and internal controls for efficiency, effectiveness and compliance to corporate policies
  • Coordinate retail store audit program- compile audits completed from network of District Auditors across the province
  • Prepare audit work papers to document test results, findings and conclusions
  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations to Management (oral presentations and written audit reports)
  • Conduct special investigations, ad hoc assignments etc. as directed by Manager, Internal Audit
  • Travel throughout Ontario (10-15% travel required). Must have a valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned


The Ideal Applicant will have:
  • Recent university graduate within an accounting or finance program
  • Must have at least 1 year of working experience or co-op experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license and access to your own vehicle
  • Must have a basic understanding of risk, internal controls and corporate governance
  • Must have excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills; the ability to speak candidly to Management regarding audit results is critical
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
