Job Description

We are seeking a candidate with experience in reconciliation sphere, with background in Middle Office in order to support day to day activities of reconciliation and support our optimization program. The Finance Manager will report into the Director, Securities Operations and lead all aspects of ensuring all of the day to day activities in our reconciliation platform DUCO are efficient, completed timely and as optimized as possible. Our optimization project takes place over several years and targets to implement a global model using best in class technologies. The candidate will need to have a strong interest in developing new strategies and challenge status quo to continually improve our workflows and replace manual efforts with automations. In addition to the day to day activities management, the Financial Analyst will be key in developing reconciliation processes into DUCO by configurating processes, developing workflows surrounding them and training end users on the technology.

Responsibilities
  • Developing reconciliation processes into DUCO by configurating processes, developing workflows surrounding them and training end users on the technology.
  • Continually improve our workflows and replace manual efforts with automations
  • Work with various business units in order to resolve complex reconciliation issues
  • Be seen as a contact when junior analysts require help investigating reconciliation exceptions
  • Analyze current procedures to identify gaps and areas of improvements and lead effort into deploying corrective actions by collaborating with partners
  • Work with both internal & external stakeholders to investigate and seek issues impacting our records
  • Analyze and process data to identify trends and root causes for discrepancies


Qualifications
  • Hands on 10 + years of experience in reconciliation and/or middle office for asset managers
  • Experience with reconciliation systems such as DUCO, TLM, etc.
  • Experience with accounting and asset management systems; Bloomberg AIM, Simcorp Dimension, APEX, Findur, Power BI
  • Advanced level in Excel
  • Ability to deliver DUCO improvements by designing and configurating reconciliation processes
  • Confirmed results and competence in resolving complex middle office issues due to infrastructure or processes
  • Understanding of financials assets (Derivatives, Equities, Bonds, Loans)
  • Strong general knowledge of asset management operations
  • Comfortable working in a global environment
  • Willing and able to share knowledge and train colleagues in an efficient and structured manner
  • Coordinate multiple actors from multiple teams and work collaboratively
  • A desire and ability to learn new skills, adapt, and tackle new challenges
  • CPA and or CFA is an asset
