Join the momentum. We are seeking a Senior Accountant for our growing Expatriate Tax team. Providing the highest level of excellence, MNP is a leading national accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Canada. Our Tax team works with individuals and organizations in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors providing comprehensive strategies that minimize risk, meet tax compliance and reporting requirements, drive efficiencies and maximize returns. Specifically, our Expatriate Tax/Global Mobility Services team provides businesses and their employees with taxation advice regarding domestic and foreign assignments to meet compliance and help mitigate their risk. Also, our team provides a variety of cross-border tax consulting and compliance services for high-net worth individuals.

YOUR ROLE @ MNP

Performance Expectations
  • Provide efficient and effective U.S. and Canadian tax services to a broad base of clients
  • Identify and analyze client needs through initial interviewing and information gathering
  • Research and identify a variety of tax issues and assist in implementing tax planning strategies for clients
  • Successfully maintain on-going positive relations with clients and develop new client relationships
  • Provide strong leadership and direction to junior team members

Credentials
  • Canadian Chartered Accountant designation (CPA or CA), U.S. Certified Public Accountant designation (CPA) or other professional accounting designations with experience will be a strong asset
  • One to three years of work experience in Canadian and U.S. cross-border personal tax consulting and/or compliance
  • Experience using software such as CaseWare, ProSystem and Taxprep would be an asset
  • An interest in specializing in tax
