The Opportunity:

We're looking for an AP Accountant to join our Finance Team.

Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Operations the AP Accountant will be responsible for the daily processing of vendor invoices, EFT, wire and cheque payments using SAP Concur and ACCPAC.

What your day looks like:
  • Review/process vendor invoices and expense reports and ensure correct coding and required approval
  • Prepare invoice and payment batches for vendor invoices and employee expense reports
  • Process EFT and wire payments to vendors
  • Prepare and mail cheques to vendors
  • Maintain A/P inbox to organize, process and reconcile vendors' invoices and statements
  • Respond to payment queries in a timely manner
  • Assist in A/P related audit requests


Your experience and skills:
  • 1-3 years' experience in Accounts Payable with general knowledge of provincial and federal sales taxes
  • Intermediate computer skills; ACCPAC, Excel and SAP Concur
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Customer service oriented to respond quickly and effectively to non-routine inquiries
  • Strong analytical skills and judgment
  • Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
  • Ability to work well under pressure and with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently to achieve required objectives
