Assistant Finance Manager - Financial Reporting

This Assistant Finance Manager role is a fantastic 'spring board' opportunity for a recently qualified (Finalist or 1-2 years PQE) ACA (ICAEW) or ACCA technically strong Financial Accountant looking to carve out a career within a large global entity.
The business offers phenomenal career trajectory and the opportunity to move around the business within different finance functions.
What we are looking for;
* Finalist or recently qualified ACA (ICAEW) or ACCA
* Must have experience within a large ideally Plc environment ideally with experience of reporting and preparation of financial statements. Applicants coming from a top accounting practice looking to move into commerce will be considered.
* Ideally exposure to a larger ERP system - SAP / ORACLE or similar
* A strong academic background including string Degree and A-Levels.
MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The role sits within the Group Control function which is responsible for external financial reporting and global financial controls, managing the global audit relationship with external audit partner; determining and implementing accounting policies; and many other projects related to how the business measures its performance and presents to investors.
*Primarily responsible for preparation of Balance sheet and related notes for Annual report.
*Accurate and timely finalization of balance sheet on monthly basis
*Review monthly financial results for key balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance with group accounting policy
*Provide guidance and training to countries on the accounting policies and responding to accounting and reporting queries
*Support in preparing the relevant parts of the quarterly press release as well as the Annual report.
*Liaise with global procurement teams and prepare global commitments data to support Annual report
*Liaise with our internal auditors, external auditors (KPMG) and ensuring all Group control requirements are documented and complied as required.
*Preparing and delivering training for relevant areas of expertise
*Support implementing the new reporting requirements on a timely basis as needed.
*Project work - includes continuous system and process improvements and supporting the line manager on ad-hoc projects as they arise.
