We are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a Fixed Term basis for 6 months.
The Management Accountant supports the monthly closing process and general compliance of the financial statements in line with the UK GAAP accounting rules. Contributes to the improvement of existing financial accounting processes and procedures. Processes daily finance transactions in line with UK GAAP.

We are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a Fixed Term basis for 6 months.
The Management Accountant supports the monthly closing process and general compliance of the financial statements in line with the UK GAAP accounting rules. Contributes to the improvement of existing financial accounting processes and procedures. Processes daily finance transactions in line with UK GAAP.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Supports the accurate, complete and timely closing of the accounts.
- Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions.
- Monthly and ad-hoc reconciliation (inter-company balances, bank statements)
- Processes daily accounting transactions (e.g. invoicing, expenses) and identifies opportunities to optimize re-occurring transactions.
- Analyzes financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepares balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports to summarize financial position for other managers.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.
- Investigates inventory variances and prepares ad-hoc inventory reports.
- Makes recommendations regarding the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Essential requirements
- AAT qualification or ACCA (part qualified, full qualification a benefit). Or equivalent.
- Thorough knowledge of financial accounting (ideally 1-2 years professional experience).
- Strong Microsoft office skills (very strong in Excel).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledgeable of accounting concepts and principles.
- Strong analytical skills, detail oriented with a passion for self-motivated problem solving.
- Passion to contribute to financial projects (around financial processes) within set due deadlines.
- Open, honest and driven personality.
- Passionate to operate effective and efficient in a changing environment.
