You will be part of a dynamic and evolving business advisory team that provides an outstanding quality of service to SME clients. The role includes year end accounting work, corporation tax work and business advisory aspects.

The Accounts and Advisory team offers great opportunities to liaise directly with clients, and to be part of a rapidly expanding team.

You will have the opportunity to both contribute to and share in the success of this team. You will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of clients across a variety of sectors and liaise with our colleagues in other teams to provide a high quality service to our clients.

THE POSITION

• Preparation of year-end limited company, partnership and sole trader accounts

• Preparation of corporation tax computations & iXBRL tagging of financial statements

• Preparation of personal tax returns

• Maintaining the accounting records and preparing management accounts for clients

• Assisting clients on an ad hoc basis with bookkeeping services and preparation of VAT Returns

• SAGE/XERO set-up and training for clients

• To keep supervisor / manager informed of case progress and any issues arising

• To raise profile of the firm by ensuring clients are fully satisfied by the service they receive

• Assist with the development of more junior members of the team

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The successful applicant will be AAT qualified or studying towards AAT with experience of working within an accountancy practice.

You will also have:

• Practical accounts preparation experience is essential

• Corporation tax knowledge would be desirable, but not essential

• Good written and verbal communication skills

• Strong numerical/analytical skills

• Good organisational skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Some knowledge of Sage, Xero and ReceiptBank would be desirable but not essential

• Some knowledge of CaseWare and Alphatax would be desirable but not essential

• Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
