Amazon seeks a Financial Analyst to support our growing EU Amazon Advertising business. Amazon is one of the world's most highly trafficked sites and the delivery of relevant advertising to shopping customers is a key company strategy and rapidly growing source of revenue. We are breaking fresh ground, pioneering a crucial platform for future Amazon growth, and our businesses are among the fastest growing at Amazon. We are entrepreneurial and have a bias for action with a broad mandate to experiment and innovate. We are looking for an Senior Financial Analyst who can is comfortable converting complex data from multiple sources into actionable insights to drive growth across the EU.

This role requires an individual with excellent business, communication, and technical skills. The leader will leverage these skills to collaborate with various functions, including sales, product, the broader finance team, and senior leadership. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy, and ever-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
1. Partner with senior management and the product finance team to develop long-range and annual operating plans.
2. Create insightful analysis that drives measurable improvement in revenue growth and/or profitability.
3. Develop and maintain ongoing metrics, reports, and dashboards which drive key business decisions.
4. Ensure robust mechanisms are in place to highlight emerging risks and opportunities to management.
5. Uphold and enforce an environment of ethical practices and strong financial controllership.


• Proven, established professional experience in analytical position such as finance, consulting, accounting, business analysis or comparable analytics position
• Excellent analytical skills, a passion for metrics and figures, and the ability to build and manage financial models for forecasting, variance analysis and problems solving
• The ability to manage multiple competing priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication; must be able to communicate complex financial information to senior management
• BA/BS degree required
• Fluent verbal and written English


• Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MS Access, Essbase and/or Cognos) and other financial systems such (e.g. Oracle)
• European language skills (German, French, Italian, Spanish)
• Experience with Cognos, Oracle Financials or other financial reporting tools
