0920/79903- Head of Finance- Capital/ PFI and Financial Services

T his post will be the Principal Finance Manager within the Financial Services and Capital/PFI areas and will lead the development of financial services and capital/PFI financial policy, working with finance staff across all divisions, Scottish Government, and other Boards, to develop best practice and make most efficient use of technology to meet users needs. The postholder will develop competency frameworks for financial services and capital/PFI staff and develop training programmes. Applying candidates should be educated to degree level or equivalent with significant financial experience at senior level within a large complex organisation and CCAB, CIMA or overseas equivalent Qualified Accountant. The successful candidate should have a developed knowledge of issues affecting the NHS and their impact on financial strategy and management and s t r on g pe r s u a si v e an d i n f l u e n ci n g skills w ith t h e ab ility to p r e s e n t i d e a s a nd p r opo s a ls a n d p ro du c e c o m p l e x r epo r ts e f f e cti v e ly a t a s e n i o r l e v el. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate a track record in collaborative working that produces results, leadership and influencing skills and have a proven track record in developing structures and/or systems to support the attainment of organisational goals, aswell as d emonstrate integrity and effective management skills enabling the successful delivery of redesign programmes to improve services. The ability to develop and maintain effective, positive relationships with key partners will be essential within the role along with practical experience of applying relevant business and financial support tools.
