Your new company
Your new firm is a long standing, medium-sized firm of Chartered Accountants with offices spanning the UK and providing a full range of services and financial advice, such as Audit, Accountancy, Cloud Accounting, Payroll, Tax, Corporate Finance, Financial Planning, Restructuring and Insolvency. Due to sustained business demand, despite present circumstances, this firm would like to expand their Tax Team in Glasgow, thus are recruiting for a Tax Assistant Manager or Tax Manager, ideally with a Corporate or Mixed Tax background. With a modern and passionate outlook, focusing on integrity and trust, they support their clients with an honest and personal approach. Reflecting this, the firm is welcoming with a positive culture and offers flexible working. This role is ideally full-time but those requiring part-time hours will also be considered. Please know, given present circumstances this firm has the majority of its employees working remotely and interviews are likely to be completed via video call software.

Your new role
As the successful applicant, you will manage a Tax Team of approximately 4 individuals to ensure the accurate and efficient delivery of compliance on behalf of a variety of clients. This will involve reviewing and signing off tax computations completed by the team, ensuring standards and procedures are adhered, to whilst mentoring and developing these individuals professionally. Working closely with the Tax Director, you will also assist with the completion of complex planning work and support the development of the service line from a local and national perspective This will include advising clients, liaising with them directly over email, phone and in person, as well as communicating with your colleagues in other offices and specialisms.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record reviewing and managing purely corporate or both corporate and personal tax compliance, with the ability to lead a small team to success. You will have experience of delivering planning work and be a confident communicator with excellent organisation skills. Being ICAS/ACCA/ATT/CTA qualified will enhance your application. The role is suited to an existing Manager or an experienced Assistant Manager who is ready to take the next step in their career.
