Growing business in Lancashire is looking to hire a Head of Finance for one of its key divisions.

The Head of Finance has responsibility for the financial and commercial reporting ensuring financial controls are being adhered to and the delivery of the financial strategy.

The role will cover extensive commercial and operational aspects of the business and provide key insights and strategies to the executive management team to support decision making.

As Head of Finance you will be responsible for ensuring all local compliance matters are met and will be responsible for enabling and supporting finance transformation.

The role will act as a key point of contact for the board and executive management team.

Responsibilities and duties:

Management of day to day country finance function and country finance team, ensuring no key person risk and succession planning

Key point of contact on all country internal finance development projects
Set long term goals for the Finance team, embedding effective controls and robust processes to support on-going growth and financial performance across the business
Work in close partnership with the following stakeholders:- The executive leadership team

- the Group CFO, Group Finance and Commercial Finance teams

- the Group Shared Services teams

Preparation of budgets and forecasts

Provide financial planning and analysis leadership to the country finance team to assist in delivering financial targets, with a focus on cash generation and return on investment

Identify gaps vs initial business plans and recommend actions supported by analysis
Drive country site by site reporting and embed a bottom up culture to reportingwithin the finance team

Focus on YoY performance and understand key underlying business trends to support continuous financial and operational improvement
Lead board reporting
Lead Monthly Board Presentations and responsibility of all commercial outputs before submission to group
Challenge existing and develop new financial processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting, creating workflow efficiencies where possible
Ensure statutory accounts are correctly completed and filed in a timely manner
Ensure adherence to IFRS accounting standards and statutory reportint requirements across the different territories
Ensure all local compliance requirements are met
Review of monthly management accounts from trial balance to financial statements
Maintain oversight of all country specific strategic projects (Systems Transformation, Audit, Finance Development, Financial Reporting)
Oversee the effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes
Ad-hoc projects as requiredSkills, Knowledge & Experience:

Strong commercial and business partnering skills and ability to articulate analysis and information to executive team in a robust and concise manner

Presentation Skills

Strong analytical skills and advanced MS Excel skills
Understanding of financial control and governance
Experience of stakeholder management across multiple divisions
Previous experience in senior leadership role
Previous experience of preparation and presentation of management and statutory accountsQualifications:

* Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
