Summary: Collect, analyze and forward cheque requests and invoices to accounts payable corporate headquarters. Interface is with Materials Management, Procurement, Finance and External vendors to ensure facilitation of timely payments.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Compiles and analyzes routine accounts payable transactions for internal and external requests.
  • Invoice Processing (matching invoices to POs) and reviewing invoice aging.
  • Review and reconcile vendor statements for Ireland vendors.
  • Follow up and supply vendors with Tax Exempt form requests.
  • Performs assigned tasks and special projects, as needed. Serve as the AP Coordinator for Ireland accounts and identify areas for process improvement related to the P2P process.
  • Advise, guide and provide direction to Procurement, AP and/or Receiving for Invoice resolution, Vendor Maintenance, etc.
  • Responsible for running weekly, monthly and annual reports to check for accuracy and completeness related to vendor accounts and payments.
  • Have knowledge of system automation and best practice.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining effective departmental communications with internal customers. This position will hold meetings with departments to monitor satisfaction and resolve invoice issues when necessary.
  • Collect and house original Vendor invoices.
  • Tracking KPI's as they apply to the accounts payable.
  • Support the Accounting Department with month end close activities when necessary, run detailed account analysis reports, open po reports, accruals and balance sheet reconciliations.

    Education and Experience:
  • Leaving Certificate or Accounting Diploma / Accounting Technician qualification plus 4 years of relevant experience.
