Your new company

You will be joining a company who provide specialist services within the Construction, Technology, Accounting and Valuation and Financial Services sectors. They have offices located all over the globe, boasting almost 200 staff. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller this newly created, position will be a pivotal role within the Group Finance function based in the Strand. Responsibilities include the monthly group reporting, maintenance of the ledgers and month end accounting. The Group Finance department is a small team of six and the role will be very much hands on and require flexibility to help out/provide support whenever needed.

Your new role

  • Month end - overall responsibility for producing the Group Reporting Pack (including actual, budgets and forecasts)
  • Month end - direct responsibility the preparation of the accounts for the holding companies, ledger reconciliation etc. and assisting on the trading companies.
  • Intercompany and group transaction processes, monthly reconciliation and agreement of intercompany accounts.
  • Supervision of the management accountant.
  • Preparation and maintenance of the budget and forecasting model.
  • Year-end Stats preparation and audit.
  • Challenge current practise, looking to improve processes wherever possible, whilst bearing in mind potential impact to any agreed client/partner processes and procedures.
  • Provide further support as and when required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Educated to degree level
  • Must be Studying ACCA or CIMA with less than 3 exams remaining
  • Experience of working as a Financial Accountant, in a small team
  • Ideally used Dynamics 365 / Navision or similar accounts package
