THIS POST IS FIXED TERM FOR 3 YEARS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE SERVICE.
If you have a big ambition to work in one of the toughest roles in modern organisations, are serious about a career in NHS management, hold a minimum 2:2 degree level qualification (awarded by July 2021) and can apply your passion, drive and determination to make a difference then we are interested in you!
The NHS Wales Financial Graduate Management Scheme will stretch you and give you the opportunity to develop your financial management and leadership skills whilst studying for a professional accountancy qualification through an intense development experience, learning to work alongside clinicians and other professionals.
When applying for this post, please read the job description and person specification carefully, and tailor your application to the requirements of the post. You can also find information on our website
If you are successful, you will be appointed to a finance role in NHS Wales for the duration of the Scheme, with one of our Health Boards, NHS Trusts, or NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership, commencing September 2021.
You will study for an accredited professional accountancy qualification (ACCA) over 3 years and will be expected to achieve this qualification in order to graduate from the Scheme. You can expect first class training and mentorship support and our generous study leave package surpasses the standards required by professional institutes.
While there is no guarantee of a permanent position at the end of the three year Scheme, the Health Boards, NHS Trusts and the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership have pledged their support for further development opportunities to be available.
