Client Details

A reputable public sector organisation looking to add a Finance officer to their Finance Division in Staffordshire.

Description

• Provide day to day support to the business partnering team ensuring the delivery of a professional Financial Management service.
• To undertake month end accruals accounting
• To prepare and post journals and virements, ensuring budgets and transactions are allocated to the appropriate cost code.
• Forecasting analysis to ensure an accurate year end forecast is produced
• Production of reports for use across the business to support decision making
• Analysis of ledger transactions to support returns and understanding of financial information

Profile

• Be AAT Qualified
• Relevant experience of managing and controlling budgets
• Have the ability to interpret and extrapolate financial data and present in a clear, well-structured way demonstrating analysis skills and attention to detail
• Possess effective interpersonal skills, a good level of communication skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
• Have a robust understanding of a general ledger and operations of a finance system
• Be able to demonstrate a track record of providing a high quality, customer focused financial service
