Our client is actively seeking a proactive, enthusiastic Assistant Accountant to join their well-established, growing and passionate finance team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual with solid accounting experience to develop their career in a commercially focussed role.
Assistant Accountant Responsibilities:
* Work closely with Business Managers to provide commercial financial analysis and planning
* Assist with month end operations review including KPIs and performance measurement
* Assist with weekly and monthly management accounts reporting for specific business areas, including in depth profitability and variance analysis
* Support business areas with financial viability calculations, cost benefit analysis and aid in budgeting and forecasting
* Assist in process improvement and resolution of issues
* Customer account reconciliations
* Checking payments and transactional actions
Required Skills & Experience:
* Actively studying early to mid-stage CIMA or ACCA
* Solid experience in an accounting role
* Strong commercial awareness and ability to work closely across business areas
* Team player with excellent communication skills
* Experience using ERP systems and strong Excel skills are essential
