NEW Company Accountant role based in West Auckland

Your new company
A well-established Manufacturing firm conveniently based in West Auckland, have gained a long reputation as a NZ leader in their specialist field and are now looking to recruit a highly important role within their finance operations. They are always looking for ways to enhance their great employees and promote within, so it's a unique one-off opportunity for you to put your technical finance skills to good use. This is a full-time permanent role.

Your new role
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for all NZ finance operations including annual budget tracking, rolling forecasts, payroll, balance sheet reconciliations, P&L analysis, Opex and statutory tax calculations. The Company Accountant will get involved with all relevant projects throughout the company including ERP system upgrades whilst acting as a business partner to the GM, Operations, Sales and Supply Chain teams on site. You will also manage fixed assets, inventory depreciation and assist with Audits when required.


What you'll need to succeed
Your degree qualification and 5+ years in a similar finance role would be ideal, along with an advanced skills using MS Excel and various ERP software. Having completed your CA/CPA is an advantage although they will also consider those qualified by years of experience in a similar industry - Manufacturing or Import/Distribution is required. Also, you will be a team player, able to show initiative and the ability to work independently with strong technical finance knowledge, particularly in statutory reports and tax (GST, FBT, Deferred and Income).
