Job Description
Key Responsibilities
a. Business partnering the operations department ie field, factories & Engineering.
b. Analyzing actual field and manufacturing costs and preparing detailed monthly cost reports comparing actual verses budget and identifying key overspend cost heads.
c. Reconciliation of manufacturing variances and efficiency analysis and interpretation of cost variances on a monthly basis.
d. Analysis of business KPIs as well as carrying out any adhoc analytical work.
e. Generation of relevant journal entries and monthly general ledger reconciliation.
f. Participation in both external and internal audits and follow up on implementation of audit recommendations
g. Preparation of various accounting schedules for review by the Financial Controller.
h. Monthly inventory accounting, stock take and valuation.
i. Appraisal of capital projects investments using discounted cash flow.
j. Supports the Annual budgeting process
k. Timely and accurate management reporting
l. Statutory Compliance and Internal Controls
Required Qualifications and Competencies
a. Minimum 5 years hands on relevant experience preferably in Agriculture Industry
b. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
c. CPA-K and a member of ICPAK
d. Analytical skills
e. Good communication skills.
f. Excellent interpersonal skills.
g. Sound knowledge of ERP system as well as other accounting fundamentals
