Would you like to lead a transformational change in finance service provision within AIR as part of the Chief Operating Office? We currently have a vacancy for a Head of Finance at our site in Warton.

As Head of Finance - Finance Service Provision Capability Centre, you will be central to this transformational activity. You will be the lead for our first Capability Centre and as such be responsible for delivery of a high-quality service to internal customers in the UK region of Air. You will establish the capability centre and create a proactive service-based culture, developing and ensuring that effective customer relationships and processes exist across the capability centre.

You will be responsible for developing and deploying a robust service definition and SLA process across the Capability Centre, to internal customers across the Air sector in the UK. You will manage and maintain customer inputs into the capability centre, working with key stakeholders to understand requirements, expected outcomes and establish into the service provision.

Your main responsibilities as a Head of Finance will involve:

Leading the Finance Services Capability Centre, establishing the operating model to ensure the centre provides both end-to-end process and service excellence

Being responsible for ensuring systems, processes, methodologies are in place to enable effective delivery, monitoring, control and continuous improvement of service outcomes and experience

Building and maintaining effective internal relationships between the service teams across the capability centre and the customer base. Providing assurance that customer service is maintained at a high standard as projects and change activities are integrated into the service provision. Preparing customer review packs, identifying service trends and performance metrics

Managing the engagement with the business / function for ownership of dependencies to enable an efficient service delivery and act as the escalation point for unresolved issues

Being the Finance lead for best practice networking with industry experts and external organisations to improve services and the customer experience. Promoting and embedding an ethos of service excellence within the teams

Providing leadership, direction and purpose for employees through effective engagement and communications to develop a high performing functional workforce; you would be managing a Finance team of executive and professional staff

Your skills and qualifications as a Head of Finance:

Relevant professional qualifications would be preferable.

Experience of leading and managing shared service centres, or centres of excellence in support of business partners.

Experience of running and embedding transformation programmes in industry, preferably in major engineering / manufacturing companies.

Previous experience of leading and developing teams.

You must have the ability to understand and identify key stakeholder's requirements and needs, adapting your style and technique to get the most from reviews, engagement sessions and challenge sessions. You should have clear, concise communication skills while working closely with senior Directors on a regular basis

You will have the ability to successfully manage, develop and lead both direct and indirect reports that feel inspired to meet their full potential and trusted to deliver. You will be confident with the ability to effectively challenge, influence others and collaborate across networks to develop effective working relationships with multiple stakeholders

Location: Warton

Salary: £65,000+
