Accountant (Contract)
DEPARTMENT / BRANCH:
Finance - Guardian Life of the Caribbean Ltd.
REPORTS TO:
Manager - Finance
Job Objective
The Accountant assists with the coordination of the timely and efficient preparation of the monthly management accounts, reporting templates, annual financial statements, annual budget and statutory returns. Additionally, he/ she is required to monitor and report on the performance of the organization with specific initial focus on expenses. The Accountant coordinates activities related to a specified area of assignment and performs tasks requiring specialized knowledge in the assigned area but is expected to have general knowledge of all areas.
Job Responsibilities
* Prepare the monthly management accounts in accordance with IFRS.
* Working with the team to manager interim and year end audits.
* Board Reporting.
* Taxation computations and payment
* Expense reporting
* Regulatory / Compliance Reporting
* To perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Manager/ Vice President.
Education
* Level 3 ACCA or ACCA qualified or equivalent
Experience
* 3-5 years accounting experience.
