We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Finance to join our business on a part time basis. You will lead the Finance team through a period of operational efficiency change and expansion whilst ensuring our existing financial controls and processes remain robust and fit for purpose for the next stage in our growth plans. We're usually based at our stunning offices situated on the beautiful Cams Hall Estate, Fareham but we're working from home for now.
In this role you will:
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in an accurate and timely manner
Develop and produce high level management reports with salient commentary to the Board
Take budgetary responsibility for tracking actual business performance against targets
Oversee the efficient administration of the purchase and sales ledger functions of the business
Collaborate with our external professional advisers to continue to drive our financial function forwards
Oversee accounting and tax compliance matters with our external advisers
Take on ad-hoc projects as directed by the Board
Partner with the Head of People Performance in developing and mentoring an existing team of high potential individuals
Provide strategic guidance to the business through offering a financial overview of acquisition targets
Have desire or a solid background in maximising Xero accounting software potential
Collaborate with our payroll provider, overseeing the efficient processing of all monthly payroll journals, ensuring that all queries are addressed as required
Oversee the operation of VAT for the business
Facilitate inter-business transactions between our main trading entity and other connected companies as necessary Finance | Head of Finance | Accounts | Accounting | ACA | ACCA | CIMA
The mandatory skillset we require is;
ACA, ACCA, CIMA or qualified by experience accountant
A strong financial controls background with particular focus on ensuring balance sheet reconciliations
A willingness to implement and embrace new technology changes
Experience of Xero accounting software or similar
Previous knowledge and experience of using data capture tools, automated credit control and online purchase order software
Previous experience in a similar role in a commercial organisation
A strong grasp of databases including a thorough working knowledge of Excel
