Responsibilities
Entity/Group
- Supervise the preparation and maintenance of full sets of accounts, forecast accounts receivables and payables
- Handle day to day finance operational and treasury matters
- Responsible for all accounting activities and prepare financial accounts with variance analysis, assisting departments with annual budgets/forecasts and reviews, internal control and tax matters
- Oversee the funding activities, budgets, management reports and implement internal control system improvements
- Prepare financial statements, XBRL submission, liaising with auditor and tax agent etc
- Implement finance procedures, handle structuring of new property investments and setting up cost control policy
- Ensure timely reporting to Head Office
- Ensure compliance of local laws implemented by the state related to taxes and handing financial transactions
- Lead and manage continuous improvement projects for Finance department excellence
- Ensure adequate cash flow to maintain operations of Singapore entity
- Prepare management report by line of service and provide variance analysis
- Data management to safeguard the company’s assets and interests
- Handle quarterly submission of GST, annual tax submission and compliance matters
- Monitoring the financial position, financial performance and cash flows of the company
- Revising any discrepancies of report and checking the company’s assets and liabilities that could affect its equity in the future
- Act as a team player and partner within the organization as well as the rest of the division and company
Regional
- Support headquarter function such as recharges of cost etc.
- Performance review and analysis and cashflow management
- Ensure compliance with statutory reporting requirements, financial accounting regulations
- Continuous improvement on process re-engineering
- Lead, guide and be the mentor for all the team members
Qualifications
- Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting/Finance/ACCA
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with freight forwarding background will be advantageous
- Extensive knowledge in fast-paced technologies and accounting programs
- Strong analytical and accounting technical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Time management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with a wide cross-section of the company team and external parties
- Global mindset, business experience
- Understand diversity and working with different cultures
- Persistent self-starter who is excited to guide across functional team through complex analyses
- Strong management, leadership, organizational and planning skills
- Problem solving and analytical skills; must excel at identifying and defining clearly problems, evaluating different ideas/options to solve the problems, and making decisions on the best solutions
