What will you do

The IT Business Analyst for the BT&S EMEALA Commercial, is a business-facing IT analyst position accountable for successful delivery of IT investments that enable the BT&S EMEALA Commercial functional area. The $4.0 billion BT&S EMEALA segment has more than one million customers and consists of field-based installation and service businesses across 4 regions and one line of business in Europe.

The one line of business is Industrial Refrigeration Europe and the four regional business are United Kingdom & Ireland, Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa and Latin America which covers the following lines of business:

HVAC and Controls: air systems, chillers, and building automation

Fire Protection: fire detection, protection, suppression, and alarm monitoring

Security Solutions: intrusion detection, access control, video surveillance, and alarm monitoring.

Residential Fire and Security Subscriber business

How you will do it
  • Support alignment of Business and IT objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process advancement leveraging technology.
  • Participate in ideation activities to create high-level process and technology roadmaps.
  • Support creation of IT investment proposals and/or Agile Release Trains.
  • Map business objectives and capability needs to specific business functions and processes.
  • Conduct discovery activities documenting business functions, processes, and enabling technologies.
  • Map current state and target state business process flows, including all critical data elements.
  • Translate business capabilities and process designs into functional requirements and/or user stories.
  • Work with business stakeholders and IT colleagues to develop, test, and deploy solutions that meet business capability needs and ensure successful achievement of scope, cost, schedule, quality, adoption, and value outcomes.
  • Provide expertise and input into solution testing scenarios and participate in User Acceptance Testing.
  • Participate in development of solution training material and execution of change management activities.
  • Enable effective practices in data governance, business intelligence, and data analytics.
  • Support risk management, regulatory compliance, Information Security, and audit remediation activities.
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery efforts, including creation of business impact analyses.
  • Support definition and utilization of IT governance processes and policies.


What we look for

Required
  • A successful track record as an IT Business Analyst
  • Excellent communications skills and ability to successfully engage with functional business managers and stakeholders
  • Experience leveraging the Waterfall, Agile, or Hybrid solution delivery methodologies
  • Strong analytical and business process mapping and design skills
  • Experience in the enabling Salesforce.com CRM is a must, as well as other IT commercial tools into the sales and marketing functions such as: Crowd Craze, Communities, E-Commerce, Marketing content and web, Customer centric online portals along with IOS / Android Apps, pricing / configure price quote tools and process and Advanced Analytics (AI/Machine Learning)
  • Track record of designing solutions to harmonize business processes and leverage IT systems


Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, or Engineering; a Master's in Business Administration or Technology Management is preferred
  • IT Business Analyst experience that is more functional than technical
  • Strong collaboration skills to achieve tangible outcomes in a heavily matrixed management environment
