Assistant Financial Controller

Assistant Financial Controller New role in a leading FMCG company based in South Tipperary. Reporting to the Financial Controller and supervising a Finance Team, The purpose of this role is:- To lead and develop the Finance team Assist in the preparation of the annual budget Contributing to budget setting and budget delivery Assist in the preparation of the year end reporting pack and submission to parent company, along with other ad-hoc parent company reporting requirements Manage the annual audit process and statutory account preparation Manage the monthly accounts preparation Assist in the analysis of monthly P&L activity, reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and preparation of the monthly management accounts Managing the preparation of weekly accounts and analysis of these Managing the preparation of bank reconciliation and monitoring of cash movements Managing the preparation of VAT returns and ensuring revenue compliance Management and review of accounts receivable function Management and review of accounts payable function Support and review the payroll function Participate in various process improvements initiatives and other ad-hoc projects as defined by the business Oversee CSO and other ad hoc reporting requirements Cross train in each Finance function and act as back-up cover for other finance roles The ideal candidate will have - Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) -           2+ years' experience in a Finance role in an FMCG manufacturing environment -           Experience leading and developing a team essential -           To be able to work with and through the team -           To be a self-starter who is results orientated and motivated by change -           To display positive interpersonal and organisation skills -           Fluency of English both written and verbal
