Accounts Assistant - Co. Louth - D004778 Location: Co. Louth, Commutable from Meath, Monaghan, Dublin North Salary: €30K-€32K Role Overview: Recruitment Plus is currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant in Co. Louth. The Accounts Assistant works to support the Financial Controller and overall Finance function in recording and retrieving financial details of the company, including maintaining financial records, processing payments, cash handling, timely payment collection and other finance administration tasks as assigned. Role Deliverables: Support the Financial Controller in managing the financial administration across the business Keep track and process accounts and incoming payments in compliance with business procedures Perform day to day financial transactions including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts receivable data Prepare bills, invoices and bank deposits Reconcile the accounts receivable and payable ledgers to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted on a monthly basis Monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments and other irregularities Verify discrepancies by and resolve clients' billing issues Generate financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status Matching invoices to statements and purchase orders to invoices Carry out billing, collection and reporting activities according to specific deadlines as set by the Financial Controller Input accounting data into the accounting system with speed and accuracy Assist in the production of financial statements and applications, preparation of spreadsheets, reports and correspondence as required Assist with end of month and end of year preparation and procedures Complete INTRASTAT compliance on a bi-monthly basis and VIES compliance on a quarterly basis Provide financial administration support to team members Any other duties that may be deemed appropriate to this role Experience and Qualifications: Minimum 3 years' experience working within a finance department Working knowledge/understanding of accounting processes and procedures Good level of competence in Excel, Word and Outlook and computerised accounting software Ability to work under pressure and meet targets and deadlines Good analytical and problem solving ability Strong computer skills (advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) AS400 experience an advantage Please hit the apply now button above and Ciara who is based in our Dundalk office will be in contact if you are suitable.
