Working with Heritage Bank as a Customer Service Officer will see you working on the front counter in our retail branch, where you will be responsible for ensuring our customers have access to the best possible financial outcomes Heritage can provide.
This means you will have sales and referral targets, be responsible for the generation of product and service leads through customer needs conversation, whilst transacting on accounts with a commitment to uphold compliance related activities.Work hours are important to our customers and ‘Putting People First’ ,we like to be easy to do business with, so our branches are typically open 5.5 days per week (Monday to Saturday). Your roster will be structured and provided in advance to cover the opening hours.
33.25 hours per fortnight
Week 1: Monday - Friday 11.00am-2.00pm
Week 2: Monday - Friday 11.00am-2.00pm Saturday 8.45am-12.00pm
We will provide you with access to full training and development to ensure you are confident to achieve your goals with product information and branch operations. We offer competitive remuneration, employee rewards and recognition programs, and performance based incentive schemes.
A day in the life of a Customer Service Officer:
Arrive at the Branch, set up cash drawer and actively participate in the morning sales debrief which sets your customer focus for the day
Open the doors!
Be ready and willing to provide a People First customer experience and meet their financial goals through needs based conversation
Complete other transactions such as foreign cash, telegraphic transfers, term deposits, Phone & Internet Banking & opening new accounts! (Don’t be worried our award winning training team will take care of you with lots of support)
Mini transaction balance prior to lunch, then an opportunity to re-focus before heading back to the customer counter
End of day balancing, finalising cash & cheques
Participate in the afternoon sales meeting debrief to share your customer successes, then head home, after a job well done!
