The University is looking for an experienced manager to provide leadership to its Student Finance and Student Funding operations, responsible for the largest revenue stream within the University. The successful candidate will possess significant post qualification experience in strategic financial management, customer-facing service delivery, together with system and policy development. Excellent staff management skills will be required to lead both complex teams and high-stake operations in a dynamic and changing environment. Whilst not a formal pre-requisite, knowledge of financial governance, legal requirements of credit control, student support regulations, UKCISA fee regulations, OfS and UKRI requirements would be advantageous.
Whilst the post sits formally within Student Administrative Services managing the University's Student Finance, Student Funding and PGR Funding Teams (some 26 staff) it has a professional line into the University’s Central Finance Group.
A non-pensionable market supplement of £5,000 per annum is payable to the successful candidate on provision of proof of current membership of an approved accounting body.
