The Company

My client is a growing financial services organization growing its presence in the Australian market. They are continuing to grow through strategic acquisition and are looking to grow their finance team along with those development plans They are ideally looking for a Big 4 1st time mover to join their group finance team in the position of Financial Accountant, and longer term there will be opportunities to develop your skills in other areas of finance.

The Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller, who is keen to develop and train the right person, you will be responsible for the P&L, balance sheet, month end close and corporate reporting.

You will assist the Financial Controller in preparing group results for board reports, consolidating results for statutory reporting, completing group cash flow statements and preparing the annual report.

Handling the relationship with the auditors, you also are taking responsibility for the compliance matters.

This is a varied role where you will be involved in various projects including a system implementation, working with the tax and treasury teams, and adding value to the wider business.

Your Profile

To join this fantastic organization, you will ideally be working towards your CA qualifcation and making your first move into a commercial role from Big 4 Audit or similar.

Having been exposed to Financial services clients, you have strong industry knowledge, with experience with AFSL being a strong advantage. Driven, you are looking to join a fast paced environment and you have the ambition to develop your skills and your career.

Your attention to detail is second to none and your communication skills are very strong.
