Job Title: Financial Accountant Division: Network and In Home Division Department : Finance Reporting Line: Head of Finance Caribbean Employment Type : Permanent Location: Jamaica Role summary: Actavo Networks & In-Home division are hiring a Financial Accountant to join their Finance Team. The role of Financial Accountant will require the successful person to be in control of the production and analysis of financial information within this division for the Jamaica market. This person will play a vital role in the key success and accurate financial reporting of the business. The ideal candidate must be driven and ambitious, be qualified with a number of years post-qualification experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Preparation of monthly divisional management accounts and detailed commentary on variance analysis and key performance indicators. Supporting the delivery of multi-year financial forecasts, annual budgets, weekly, monthly and quarterly trading forecasts. Preparation and presentation of financial presentations to Senior Management and supporting senior management in the evaluation of proposed commercial action and wider strategic options. Working capital management, focusing on debtors, cash and WIP minimization. Cash flow forecasts - weekly and monthly. Supervision of AP, AR, Payroll Preparation and review of bank and creditor reconciliations. Preparation of GCT and PAYE/PRSI returns Prepare annual audit schedules and liaise with audit field team. Submission of statutory tax returns and other statistical data. Ongoing development of cross function relationships to maintain & improve the flow of key information, ensuring the delivery of on time and internally consistent data. Implementation and compliance with internal controls. Other requests based on business needs Skills and Experience: High calibre fully qualified accountant with minimum 2 years post qualification industry experience. Experience in the construction industry an asset Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Ideally experience of Microsoft Dynamics AX (or similar) ERP Software. Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Assertive (ability to ensure controls are followed). Energetic with positive can do attitude. Ability to identify and drive change. Good initiative to work both with and independent of the Finance Manager and senior management team.
