Financial Accountant

Our client is a leading Medical Device organisation based in Cork. They are seeking a qualified Financial Accountant with at least 2-3 years PQE to join their team on a fixed term contract basis. This interesting role has arisen due to continued growth both locally in Cork and globally throughout the organisation. The Role The successful Financial Accountant will report into the Financial Controller and provide information to management to assist them in supporting the financial and strategic objectives of the business, enabling management to assess business performance, internal controls and procedures compliance in an accurate and timely manner. As part of your role, you will also: Process month end/ year journals in a timely manner ensuring compliance with all accounting principles Be responsible for the creation and implementation of internal controls and perform audits Manage all government tax returns in an accurate and timely manner Ensure secretarial and treasury function compliance as well as Quality system compliance The Person The ideal candidate for this Financial Accountant role will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent with 2-3 years of post-qualification experience, ideally in a manufacturing industry. You will have experience preparing full sets of financial accounts and have a strong understanding of financial controls, processes and statutory requirements. A strong analytical and commercial approach will assist your success in this role.
