Job Title: Accounts Officer

 

Job Location: Accra, Greater Accra

 

Job Description

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements
• Perform monthly and weekly reconciliation, compute tax owed and prepare tax returns
• Assist with the preparation and management of annual budget
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly management report on the state of the Funds for decision making
• Retirement of office petty cash
• Payment of bills, salaries and other statutory deductions
• Reviewing petty cash and managing of office imprest
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register of the Trust
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned

 

Qualification and Requirements

• First degree in Accounting or its equivalent
• Professional qualification (ACCA or ICAG,CIMA, CPA) final part
• At least 3-5 years experience or in a similar position 
• Technical competencies - good knowledge of accounting. Good management and leadership skills. Excellent planning, budgeting and problem solving skills Ability to work in a team, with little or no supervision
• Good communication skills
• High integrity, professionalism and sense of confidentiality
• Good knowledge of project management and financing, assets management and financial reporting
• Good working knowledge of Accounting software such as Persol  
• Working knowledge of the regulatory environment such as Pensions, Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC), Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) Regulations, The Banking Act, Companies Code and Tax Laws are also required
