Accounts Assistant role within a small National Bank based in Mayfair.
Client Details
My client is a small Bank located in the West of the City.
The role will sit within a Finance Team of 4.
Description
1. Regulatory / Consolidated / Statutory & Management Returns/Reports
- To support the department in preparation and distribution of internal reports for management such as balance sheet etc.
- Support in producing statutory returns (Automatic Exchange of Information (CRS / FATCA), BBSI & VAT)
- Assist with preparation of all regulatory reporting requirements to the Bank of England, FCA and EBA.
- Provide support in preparation and validation of intergroup consolidated reports on monthly basis (IFRS reporting to Parent)
- Assist in the yearly audit process
- Daily departmental duties
2. Daily Duties
- Reconciliation of all Nostro interbank accounts in accordance with agreed schedules
- Reconciliation of the Internal and suspense accounts
- Investigation and resolution of outstanding reconciliation items - liaising with other departments
- Preparation of Reconciliation aged items report on monthly basis
- Maintain a fully updated Fixed Assets and Depreciation register at all times.
- Maintain the Prepaid /Accruals registers.
- Processing & payment of invoices in a timely manner and maintaining a comparative register for paid invoices.
- Distribution of daily reports, printouts to be maintained in accordance with the Bank's archive / storage register.
- Process of day to day accounting and banking data e.g. accounting entries, account maintenance, interest rate changes etc.
- Preparation and distribution of various internal MIS reports as directed including statistical reporting for other departments e.g. Trade Finance
3. Deputising for the Senior Supervisor - Accounts
- To adequately fulfil the duties of the supervisor in times of absence
- Such other general duties as are required from time to time, which are commensurate with the nature of the job.
Profile
- Must have minimum 2 years Finance experience in a Bank
- Must be able to complete manual reconciliations
- Ideally would be studying towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA
- Able to work well in a small team
