FAAS The Grant Thornton FAAS department is a specialist team who service
large Multinational Companies (MNCs), focusing on being a centralised point of
contact for their global requirements. Our experienced and multicultural
teams are experts in areas of Global Compliance - the Grant Thornton Centre of
Excellence, Effective Financial Reporting (EFR), Accounting Advisory (AA) and
Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). Our team are proactive accounting specialists who are focused on and passionate
about delivering innovative and practical solutions to clients' complex
financial reporting issues. The FAAS team is one of the fastest growing teams
in Grant Thornton (and currently numbers
over 100). You will work closely with the 4 partners in FAAS and will have

wider FAAS team, as well as other senior personnel within Grant Thornton. The FAAS team are a group of proactive specialists who are
focused on providing practical solutions to our clients' complex financial
reporting issues. Our ‘on call' ethos means we are able to respond quickly to
fast moving business processes and timelines - whether assisting with advice
related to transactions or working to tight financial close deadlines. What you will be
doing: Liaising closely with Partners / Directors to ensure efficient resource planning for the FAAS team Business Development - working with Partners / Directors on pipeline and strategy, including proposals and collateral People - Work closely with HR to ensure new hires have the required skills and experience to fulfil the roles on offer - including role definitions, CV Screening and Interviews Co-ordinating staff Performance Review Process and Probation Reviews Driving monthly timesheet approval process Work with Risk & Compliance department to ensure team members are up to date with all Training / Audit Compliance certificates Project Manage statutory accounting software implementation Building and maintaining strong relationships with senior personnel; Managing and coaching junior team members; and Promoting FAAS both internally and externally, articulating all FAAS services and the value that we bring to our clients. What you will be bringing to the role: Experience of relationship management, negotiating with and influencing across all management levels, both internally and externally; Experience in an Operational role within a professional services environment Professional Services and Industry experience an advantage Good communicator, highly articulate with excellent report writing skills; A passion for client service; Strong management skills; Recognised Accounting qualification; Advanced Excel skills Experience of Practice Engine an advantage Apply today to discuss the role with us in more detail and find out what makes us different!
