Investment Assistant - Asset Management

Our client works directly with companies to develop bespoke capital solutions that span across the entire capital structure tailored to various business objectives and specific requirements. Participating in both primary and secondary transactions, they specialize in direct lending, special situations investing, providing mid-to-late stage growth capital, and distressed restructuring. This is a position for candidate who would like to pursue a role in investment at a buy side firm

Job Responsibilities

• Provide administration, operation and secretarial support to investment team such as calendar management and documentation filing
• Perform daily cash reconciliation and monitor daily cash flows for investment projects
• Perform records maintenance and fund reports preparation
• Check and reconcile valuations reports produced by external service providers
• Liaise with fund administrator, custodians, auditor, value and other vendors for handling various operation tasks, including account opening and year-end audit
• Identify, analyze and report any portfolio risk issues
• Assist in investment research and deal execution
• Participate in post project monitoring and reporting
• Organize and attend meetings to help produce agendas and take meeting minutes
• Handle enquiries from fund managers, internal departments and investors
• Assist in performing any ad hoc assignments as required, such as new fund setup

Profile

The person

This is a position which requires strong number modelling skill with good interpersonal and presentational skills with fluent English and the exposure in European market is essential. Apart from having strong financial modelling skill, you are required to have the ability to play a leading or significant role in the full investment cycle

Education & Experience

• Degree holder in Finance, Accounting or related disciplines
• Minimum 2 years' experience in big 4 environment
• Good interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
• Self-motivated, organized, able to perform tasks independently
• Good command of both written and spoken English with native Mandarin is a must
• Solid computer skills, with a good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Application
• CPA/ACCA student or qualified is considered an asset
