Accounts Payable role within a large and well known Financial Services business based in the City of London.

Client Details

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join one of the largest financial advisory groups, this role is based in the city of London but they have offices internationally.

Description

Responsibilities

  • Processing of multi-currency invoices in a highly accurate and efficient manner, ensuring the correct treatment of VAT (end to end process from receipt of invoice to payment)
  • Following up on outstanding queries & approvals of invoices
  • Inputting of Journals, including Excel upload facility
  • Reconciliations (Balance Sheet) and following up on outstanding items
  • Courier Services - To input dockets by means of journal
  • Concierge - To ensure invoice matches Excel file (prepare for load into Concur)
  • Weekly paying in of cheques and input related entries
  • Ad hoc administrative duties

Profile

Previous Accounts Payable experience and SAP system knowledge is preferable. Candidates should be competent in Excel and be confident in communicating at all levels. The role requires someone who has a flexible working attitude and can work in a fast paced environment.

Experience, Skills and Competencies Required

  • Numerically competent with an understanding of basic Finance concepts (for example debit and credit)
  • Understanding of Sterling and non-Sterling payments
  • SAP experience
  • Experience with Concur Travel and Expense system (desirable, not essential)
  • VAT experience, including partial exemption
  • Logical thinker, problem solver and good decision maker
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Experience of Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and Outlook

Job Offer

The successful applicant will receive £25,000-£30,000 with a fantastic benefits package.
