Chief Accountant

As the leading provider of Health and Fitness Programs in Qatar, MTM group is seeking a Chief Accountant who will thrive in a fast-moving environment. You must be a team player and a collaborator by nature, with outstanding communication skills with the following requirements.
Major Accountabilities:
· Oversee the operations of the department by leading and guiding the subordinates.
· Implementing, monitoring and enhancing accounting policies and procedures, internal controls and process improvements to mitigate errors and risks and drive productivity gains.
· Oversee day-to-day cash management, expenses, and payables.
· Monitors compliance with IFRS, company procedures and statutory requirements.
· Maintains cash flow by monitoring bank balances and cash requirements.
· Overall responsibility of Accounts Payable and Receivable.
· Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and cost center reports.
· • Responsible for monthly verification of payroll with the coordination of HR including incentives, overtime, etc. and monthly accrual for staff benefits.
· Coordinate with divisional heads for business planning and report interpretations.
· Responsible for distributing financial statements and cost center reports on timely basis
· Managing relationship with external auditors to ensure a successful and timely audit.
· Manage month-end and year-end closing.
