Overview Of Role

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join the Finance Team to be responsible for the financial management of the Rothamsted studentships, ensuring timely invoicing and management of individual budgets within a complex web of relationships and financial interactions between universities, students, Research Councils and Rothamsted scientists. Reporting to the Senior Financial Analyst, this role will act as a Financial Partner to support assigned science departments providing financial guidance and will also be responsible for calculating the recharge of appropriate full economic costs.

The successful candidate will be a member of a professional accounting body (or advanced part qualified), or hold a degree in Finance/Accounting, Business Administration, or be a Chartered Secretary. You will have demonstrable experience working within a similar financial role, together with a commitment to providing an excellent service to all stakeholders. Organisational, analytical and interpersonal skills will be required, together with Advanced/intermediate excel skills.

Working both independently and as part of small finance team, flexibility and a proactive approach is important and ideally you will be wanting the opportunity to grow and add value by contributing to improvements and efficiencies.
