Finalist Studier - Financial Accounting Analyst Job Description

• Prepare consolidated financial information, ensuring accuracy and consistency, throughout the monthly reporting cycle. Includes the preparation of results analysis to key stakeholders, including regional management teams and the upload from SAP to Group consolidation system and preparation of supporting schedules.
• Support the budgeting and forecasting process, including dealing directly with cost centre owners to forecast accurate costs.
• Prepare month end procedures, including monthly journals, such as accruals, payroll, fx revaluations, and ensuring a fully reconciled balance sheet. Directing the shared service centre to ensure accurate posting of transactions throughout the month, and control payments to suppliers. Includes ledger maintenance, reconciliations, general ledger transaction processing and reporting of historical financial information.
• Work with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely completion of audits for group reporting, and also preparation of legal entity statutory accounts. Preparation of Tax Information pack, preparation of vat return, liaise with HMRC on VAT, EC sales and intrastat matters and prepare annual insurance return.
• Working with Treasury team to support financing entities/projects, and monitoring of cash positions of the division. Identifying hedging requirements,
• Ensure the business is compliant with all Group financial policies and procedures, such as delegation of authority, expense procedures, capex applications, foreign exchange, etc.
• Maintain open and clear lines of communications with all relevant stakeholders.
• Driving efficiencies within Finance team and wider business, including looking for opportunities to transfer further transaction processing work into shared services.
• Challenging the business on all areas of process and cost control.
• Complete various ad-hoc projects as required, including the opportunity to get involved in SAP enhancements and support.

Profile

The Successful Applicant as Financial Accounting Analyst would be:

• Finalist stage studier or part qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) although individuals who are qualified by experience will also be considered
• A proven track record of working in a growing business
• Strong communication skills
• Must adopt a hands-on work ethic and have the ability to work within a collaborative, challenging and consultative environment with a multitude of personalities
• Strong systems experience including Excel
• Proven track record of performance reporting and producing management and statutory financial statements.
• Proactive and self-motivated individual
• Must have ability to multi-task and to manage time effectively at all times
