Head of Finance

Great opportunity for a progressive accountant to lead the finance function of a high growth software development business, who are about to embark on the next step of their journey and raise some external VC funding. With revenues and headcount doubling this year, strong cash flows and a confident road map ahead, this is an extremely exciting & entrepreneurial company.

You will be a Head of Finance who thinks outside of the box, who understands problems and asks the questions, someone who takes a real interest in the business and ownership for their function, someone who can provide your CEO with top level analysis and business recommendations, and let your hair down on a Thursday/Friday with the very same guy. Key responsibilities to include;

• Ownership of the day-to-day finance function, including managing a team of 4 consisting of qualified/PQ and transactional staff
• Review of monthly management accounts, ownership of the budgeting/forecasting process
• Be a commercial business partner to non-finance teams, provide analysis and create dashboards/slide shows to present monthly information
• Implement controls and processes and apply best practice
• Recruit a dedicated, motivated and ambitious team

Key characteristics:

• Qualified ACA/CIMA/ACCA with relevant PQE, ideally high growth technology
• Strong analysis and business partnering skills
• Managerial experience
