As a result of recent growth within the organisation, an opportunity has arisen for a Management Accountant to join an outstanding Multi-Academy Trust located across South and East Yorkshire.

This Multi-Academy Trust is committed to providing excellent academic standards for over 25 schools across South and East Yorkshire.

Description

The Academy Management Accountant will use their accountancy skills to provide effective support and accurate monitoring and reporting for all the Academy Trusts network. They will have specific responsibilities within the following areas:

• Produce and review monthly management accountants.
• Analyse budget monitoring reports.
• Ensure monthly management information is accurate and fulfils the requirements.
• Assisting schools in the development of internal controls and systems that meet the trusts requirements.
• Providing support and guidance to schools on the use and operation of The Trusts finance system where appropriate.
• Support the preparation of The Trust's VAT return.

Profile

The successful candidate will have experience and understanding of the following areas:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CIPFA)
• Competent with Excel.
• Track record in effective budget preparation and control.
• Experience of finance within the education sector.
• Knowledge of PS Financials would be advantageous.
