The opportunity for this Senior Financial Analyst in Galway: As Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with the site management team in Galway and use your financial analysis skills to lead change and drive year-on-year process improvements in the site's overhead costs. Supported by a strong Senior Finance Manager (FP&A), you will be empowered with planning, reporting, accounting for and analysing the overhead costs for this large manufacturing site. You will be given direct access to all functions and areas of the manufacturing and R&D operations in order to accurately perform and excel in your position as Senior Financial Analyst of overhead accounting. About the job: As Senior Financial Analyst of overhead costs, you will lead all financial planning and analysis of indirect headcount and site overhead costs. Analysing significant variances and consolidating total overhead costs, you will play an important role in the month end, annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting and 3 year strategic planning processes. You will use your expertise in activity based costing (ABC) to accurately allocate overhead costs to products, determining annual standard costs for over 60 product categories. Operating in a US multinational company, you will also ensure effective controls are in place to comply with SOX, GAAP and Corporate Policy in your area. As a senior analyst on this top performing finance team, you will be involved in a number of projects in both finance and across the business, with a focus on driving improvements in financial systems to optimise business performance. One project in particular that you will lead will be the selection and implementation of an effective cost centre planning and reporting tool. You will use the Project Accounting process to effectively manage large scale capital and overhead projects. What you will need to succeed: If you are a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with approximately 5+ years PQE, who enjoys partnering with site management teams to improve processes and operational performance, then this is a great opportunity for you to excel. You will call upon your cost accounting and financial analysis skills, preferably from a large manufacturing environment, to deliver accurate reporting of the current overhead cost for budgeting and forecasting and to identify areas of cost improvements year-on-year.
