POSITION SUMMARY
The Finance Officer is responsabile for the timely and aacurate administration of accounts payable and receivable assist the Finance Manager in administrative and financial related tasks as well as provide information and assistance to various stakeholders KEY CONTACTS Internal Management Team Operations Team Finance Team Customer Service Team External Customers Disability and health care providers Local Area Coordinators (LACs) with responsibility for creating and reviewing plans for and on behalf of NDIS participants Other relevant government agencies as required Version 4 0 Feb 2017 McMillan Shakespeare Group Position Description KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with the review of end to end insurance process and procedures identifying opportunities to introduce efficiencies remove blockages ensure clean data is entered into systems remove duplication and leverage existing IT systems Work with both finance managers and operational managers to establish processes and procedures with respect to planned NDIS trial Understand the mechanics of the joint venture entity and its interactions with external agencies service providers and clients Document processes and procedures with respect to finance transactions and controls Work with finance managers to establish procedures with respect to the operating of newly established bank accounts reconciliation procedures and interface with accounting package Assist with the reporting to be provided to the JV Assist with process improvement initiatives introduction of new processes transition of new clients or other ad hoc work McMillan Shakespeare Group Position Description POSITION CRITERIA
Capabilities & Demonstrated experience in accounts payable and accounts Behaviours receivable within a high volume dynamic environment Demonstrated ability to understand and interpret financial information Demonstrated ability to produce a high volume of work with a high level of accuracy Analytical interpretation and advanced problem solving abilities Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and amongst conflicting priorities Able to live PMPs organisational values Ability to work autonomously and as a team member and demonstrate Highly organised with good attention to detail Experience in working under pressure and managing own stress levels Ability to work in a highly ambiguous environment in an evolving Greenfield business Knowledge & At least 2 years experience in the Finance environment Experience Knowledge of GST processes and requirements Demonstrable IT skills in Microsoft Office (Word Excel Outlook) Qualifications Certificate level qualifications in Business Accounting or similar or demonstrated equivalent experience WORK HEALTH & SAFETY (WHS) The Company seeks to provide a safe and healthy workplace All employees have a duty of care to ensure a safe workplace in line with WHS legislation and regulation Employees are required to work within the Company s policies and procedures for WHS MANDATORY COMPLIANCE TRAINING All employees are required to complete mandatory compliance training This training provides employees with the understanding of their responsibilities relating to financial obligations occupational health and safety equal opportunity privacy and ethical behaviour All training must be completed within the communicated timeframes to ensure that the Company meets its regulatory obligations McMillan Shakespeare Group Position Description
