Management Accountant

This Management Accountant role is a varied role reporting to the Financial Controller you will support with budgets, produce accounts for your assigned business area and support with financial duties such as yearend.

Description

This Management Accountant role will have an outline of the following responsibilities;

*Posting of period end journals in line with the accounting timetable including accruals & prepayments.

*Analysis of expenditure.

*Identify and explain variances to budget and forecast.

*Produce and distribute standard weekly and monthly reports in line with the accounting timetable.

*Production of the monthly reports, (producing the numbers and adding/reviewing commentary).

*Coordinate preparation of the company's annual budgets.

*Coordinate preparation of the weekly P&L forecast.

*Coordinate preparation of the company's quarterly forecasts.

*Production of ad hoc reports.

*Management of an assistant accountant to achieve all of the above.

Profile

This Warrington based permanent role will require the following duties as a minimum;

*Already actively studying CIMA / ACCA or ACA

*Graduate minimum 2.1 or AAT qualified

*Experience working with month end accounts

The following would be desirable;

*Excellent Microsoft Excel skills

*Project based skills

*Experience within a management accountant role (Retail / Manufacturing Advantageous)
