The Interim Finance Manager role takes responsibility for two sites in the S. Yorkshire region, managing both the finance and operational functions

Client Details

My client is a well-known player in the logistics and distribution sector. The Interim Finance Manager role is a key position for the Northern regions of the business.

Description

Interim Finance Manager:

  • Responsible for complex weekly account preparation and reporting
  • Look at continuous improvement opportunities for the productivity of the sites
  • Partner with all operational areas of the business, delivering analysis, budget and forecasting information to relevant senior stakeholders
  • Review and make improvements to finance models, identifying what the key variances are and setting KPI's around the information gathered
  • Responsible for heading up improvement project around year-on-year performance
  • Working with non-finance personnel to achieve goals and challenge performance

  • Managing team consisting of finance and non-finance members of staff

Profile

  • Fully qualified (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) ideally. QBE will be considered if there is proven logistics, transport management or warehousing experience, and a highly commercial skill set specifically around contract costing on the CV
  • Experience in the logistics sector is highly desirable
  • Previous team management experience is desirable
  • Be able to split time between two sites both in the county of South Yorkshire

Job Offer

Up to £45,000 per annum equivalent (could possibly go higher for someone exhibiting all the traits above, including logistics sector background)

3-6 months or potential for permanent role at the end if it's the right fit for both parties
