A specialist role, with responsibility for leadership of the Payroll Services including the centralised time and attendance team. The role has accountability for ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time, financial postings are accurate and that the company is compliant with all payroll associated regulatory requirements. The role requires expertise in managing delivery of multiple payrolls across a number of legal entities, with complex and varied employee terms and conditions.

Client Details

This is a senior role which requires the ability to be forward thinking and able to react to changing priorities, also proactive in terms of stakeholder management. The incumbent will have previously working in a shared service environment and a proven track record in terms of service delivery and problem resolution.

Description

Successful candidates will be given duties which include:

  • Responsible for payroll data entry and coordinating with payroll providers (ADP Freedom and ADP Streamline parties) to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing of monthly payroll for all four countries
  • Excellent co-ordination with HR to ensure deadlines are met and all HR data received on time
  • Build strong working relationships with ADP Streamline / ADP Freedom counterparts for payroll processing
  • Reconcile payroll output to all supporting documentation to ensure all payrolls are correct
  • Create, review and obtain sign off on all funding requests to ensure payroll account is properly funded for net pay, taxes, and benefits
  • Provide the monthly payroll journal entries to Finance and ensure payroll is properly recorded in the general ledger
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant country's payroll tax deadlines ensuring timely filing for statutory payments and reports for all countries
  • Stay abreast of changes in tax and compliance regulations applicable to employees/employers and assess impact to the payroll processes
  • Responsibility for the understanding of and filing of year end payroll returns in all 4 countries
  • Ensure correct processing of Equity - Unit Vesting - Distributions and the associated statutory requirements - Form 42
  • Understanding the taxation of benefits - ensure that all relevant benefits are taxed and reconciled
  • Production of P11D's where necessary
  • Apprenticeship Levy implementation
  • Respond to auditing and regulatory inquiries as it relates to Payroll questions/ documents
  • Answer all employee queries related to payroll
  • Review payroll processes, procedures, making changes while ensuring adequate controls are in place and followed and recommending improvements
  • Ensure that all procedures are thoroughly documented, included checklists to ensure steps are completed when processing the payroll
  • Leading implementation of payroll projects / enhancements working with IT and ADP
  • Day to day international benefit administration and management (UK, Spain, HK and Australia)
  • Adding, deleting new joiners/ leavers and family members from all benefits
  • Regularly checking benefit coverage is correct for all employees and understanding how any changes affect payroll
  • Liaising with PJT broker with any employee concerns or any day to day benefit management queries
  • Inputting benefits changes/updates into Workday so that it flows through to payroll
  • Ensuring that benefits are taxed correctly and accounted for correctly through payroll
  • Annual renewal (will work closely with HR / global team)
  • Checking invoices are correct for Finance

Job Offer

Successful candidates will be given an offer of:

£70,000 - £85,000
