Cost Accountant - Kilkenny Our client a growing indigenous company based in Kilkenny are looking for a Cost Accountant to join their team. Responsibilities: Investigate variances in the gross margin including detailed product margin and manufacturing line profitability analysis Analyse actual manufacturing costs and prepare weekly reports comparing standard costs to actual Produce various management reports to deadlines Review and maintenance of standard costing, BOMs and related costing processes Preparation of costing analysis for new products and business proposals Financial control of inventory including accounting, valuation and obsolescence management Support the preparation of budgets including the development of robust forecast and budget models Support production managers in understanding product costs and driving improvement in product margins Support the project management office with financial analysis Contribute to the continuous improvement of the efficiency and contribution of the finance function Prepare ad-hoc analysis as required Key Relationships: Working with the wider management team to deliver strategic objectives of the business Experience, Knowledge, Competencies and Skills required: CIMA / ACCA / ACA with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience in a similar finance role Strong cost systems experience with excellent numerical and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Motivated, self-starter with background in process improvement Ability to adopt to multiple tasks and a changing environment Computer literacy and a high level of Excel expertise essential Experience of integrated ERP and Lean Systems advantageous Fluency of English both written and verbal
