GL Accountant (multinational)

A US multinational, which provides leading software solutions, is looking for a qualified accountant to join the team. In this role, you'll get very broad exposure to statutory and month-end reporting as well as involvement in the implementation of a new ERP system. ABOUT THE ROLE: This role will be sitting in the Dublin office within the Finance team and while it will be reporting to one of the Team Leaders, you will also have exposure to the CFO. This role will suit a qualified accountant with strong technical knowledge and someone who has good communication skills. Main duties and responsibilities will include: Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports; You will liaise with the external auditors in relation to the financial records, in line with US and local GAAP; Analysis of financial results to ensure accuracy; Provide financial and accounting support to the business partners' finance representatives as well as those co-ordinating internal audits; Monitor profitability of each entity; Involvement in the implementation of a new ERP system. ABOUT THE PERSON: Recently qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA; Knowledge of statutory compliance requirements; Technical knowledge of US GAAP and SOX would be an advantage but is not a prerequisite; FX exposure would be an advantage; Ability to work well as part of a team; ERP experience would be a distinct advantage.
